Overcome
Tolstoy once said “The two most powerful warriors are patience and time.” The Word of God says the same thing. “As long as the earth remains there will be seedtime and harvest.” (Genesis 8:22) If you know anything about gardening, you know there is always a period of time between the planting and the reaping, a time when it looks like nothing is happening. But, despite appearances, there is always a harvest. “My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.” Does that sound like God is going to leave you unemployed? No, this promise is clear. Though you may have to wait for all the pieces to come together and the timing to be right, you will reap a harvest for all the seed you’ve planted during your job search. Never forget that Christ has made you a child of God. In Him you have every blessing and promise made by God to His people. No matter what it takes, be patient and stand in faith until you see this promise fulfilled.
WORDS OF LIFE:
- I expect to be victorious in my job search. I will enjoy the work of my hands in the place God has prepared for me.
- By faith I receive God’s promise that others will not take what is mine. I expect to find and secure a great job that will bring me joy.
- I thank God that I will be blessed in the workplace so that I can be a blessing.
Word of the Day
They shall not build and another inhabit; They shall not plant and another eat; For as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, And My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. (NKJV)
