Exercise
Obviously Solomon isn’t talking about the experience of unemployment here but “this burdensome task” sure sounds like a description of the job search process! God is not the creator of joblessness. Yet, He certainly has been known to use it as a way “by which (we) may be exercised”. Solomon was searching for understanding. Maybeyou should do that too. If a season of unemployment sends you running to God, if it causes you to search His Word for answers, and if it requires you to put your faith to work, then it may be the very “work out” you need. As tougher and tougher times come, you'll be really grateful for this faith fitness program!
